Become a member in good standing simply by signing your blue union card every academic year. You must sign your union card in order to be eligible for union benefits, vote, etc. The blue union cards are available in the office.

On March 13th a small contingent of members and Executives from our Local traveled to the picket lines in Toronto to support the members of CUPE 3902 at U of T and CUPE 3903 at York University.
The Local's Annual General Meeting is Tuesday, April 7th at 5:30 p.m. SEB 2100.
Elections for the Local's Executive and non-Executive positions will take place the following week on Tuesday, April 14th at 5:30 p.m. SEB 1200.
Dear Members,
All International Members who pay for UHIP during this 2014-2015 academic year are eligible for the UHIP Assistance Fund. As per the letter of understanding in our Collective Agreement, PSAC Local 610 receives $40,000 from Western University. In the past, PSAC 610 divided this amount equally among all of our members who pay UHIP fees to help cover the cost.
The next round of applications to the Financial Aid Fund (FAF) are due Wednesday, April 1st. More information about and the online application to the FAF is available here.
Each year the Local provides 24 scholarships to members who demonstrate outstanding achievement in their academic achievement ($500), research contribution ($400), or their dedication to community involvement ($400).

The Ontario University and College Coalition (OUCC) is made up of the CFS-Ontario, CUPE Ontario, OCUFA, OFL, OPSEU, OSSTF, PSAC, Unifor, and USW. The OUCC recently issued an important statement and press release on the Ontario government's funding model for post secondary education.
