The PSAC 610 Exigency Bursary provides short-term financial support to members experiencing urgent and unexpected financial hardship.

 

Unexpected or emergency expenses refer to situations that:

• Could not reasonably have been predicted

• Are outside of the member’s control

• Have occurred since the start of the current academic year​

Eligibility:

• All Members in Good Standing from Bargaining units 1, 2, and 3 are eligible (i.e. GTA, PDA, GSA members)

• Members must demonstrate urgent financial need that requires expedited funding

Budget:

• The total budget for the Exigency Fund is $20,000

​

• Please include any documents or materials that you think are relevant to your application

All applications are assessed individually based on the circumstances presented.

Applications for the CURRENT September 2025 - August 2026 academic year are being accepted.
