Position Description:

The Master of Public Health Program (MPH) has a Fall/Winter Teaching Assistant (140 hours) position available for MPH 9015 – Public Health Practice.


The TA will focus on providing in-depth feedback to approximately sixty MPH students on their writing abilities through their individual written deliverables (about 7 per term). In addition the TA will be available for drop in hours to provide MPH students with individual guidance on their writing skills on an as needed basis. Lastly, if there is demand, the TA will lead writing workshops on topics such as:

1. Writing Process

2. Grammar skills and punctuation

3. Editing and proofreading

4. Writing clearly and concisely


Qualifications

Preference will be given to individuals with an undergraduate degree in English and/or pursuing a PhD in English from the Department of English and Writing Studies.
