GTA Vacancy: DAN Department of Management & Organizational Studies

Fall Term – 2021-2022 (September-December 2021)

Four (4) Teaching Assistant positions are available in the DAN Department of Management & Organizational Studies.

Teaching Assistant Positions:

• Introduction to Accounting and Finance (MOS 1023A)

Position Description:

Applicants must be knowledgeable in both the fields of Finance and Accounting (including intro level accounting, management accounting, and assurance). Candidates with strong skills and knowledge in the field of accounting will be given priority over those candidates who are more specialized in the field of finance. Familiarity with First Year Management and Organizational Studies content and comfort with online communication, OWL and Excel will be assets.

(10 hours per week) Responsibilities may include attending scheduled weekly lectures (Wednesdays 3:30-6:30pm), maintaining up-to-date lecture/course notes, being available to address student questions prior to, during or following lectures, assisting in maintaining course web content, assisting in development/preparation of course materials including tutorials, researching real-world current examples of course materials, posting to Sakai Owl 2, answering students’ questions electronically, attending office hours and scheduled meetings with students, assisting in the preparation of examinations, proctoring examinations and reviewing examinations with students.
